The
youngest of three children, Linas was raised outside Cleveland, Ohio.
He went on to study art history at Harvard University, with additional
studies in illustration at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.
Linas spent several years editing illustrated books at Harry N. Abrams,
Inc., where he had the opportunity to work with such picture-book
luminaries as Laurent de Brunhoff and Maurice Sendak. Linas has been
writing and illustrating books full-time since 2005 in Stockholm,
Sweden, where he currently lives with his partner and a parrot
named Oliver.
